The iconic PARKHOUSE legacy was born back in 1794, when a Blandford man, Daniel Pegler set up a family jewellery business on England’s south coast. In 1925 this business was combined with another family run clockmaker’s, and then in 1940 two business came together in the aftermath of the blitz to cement PARKHOUSE as the local institution it is today.
In 1995 PARKHOUSE was bought by Scotland’s oldest family jeweller, LAING, and in 2000 a new store was opened in Cardiff to coincide with the return of the Welsh parliament and a momentous year for the city.
The intricate art of fine jewellery and watch-making has been passed from generation to generation. Today, some 222 years later, PARKHOUSE continues the exceptional family legacy under the ownership of Michael Laing OBE, the great-great-great grandson of the founding family of LAING.
As an established family jeweller, PARKHOUSE embraces both original, contemporary design and the classical time-honoured traditions of our predecessors. Our company has two stores located in the heart of Scotland’s capital as well as PARKHOUSE in Hampshire and Cardiff. To this day, each and every stone is handpicked in Antwerp by Michael to ensure outstanding cut, colour grade, clarity purity and quality of diamond.
We understand how important it is to choose just the right piece and at PARKHOUSE you’ll find a beautiful and diverse range of bespoke diamond collections – each with its own story to tell.
For instance our Esme, Sienna, Isabella and Anna ranges perfectly illustrate the charm, elegance and originality of Laing designs. Inspired by Michael’s granddaughters, each collection is infused with character and individuality.
Within our stores you’ll also find some of the finest, most sought after luxury jewellery and watch brands in the world, including the world’s most perfectly cut diamond Hearts on Fire and Mikimoto, the finest and most famous of pearl brands.
The modernised interior of PARKHOUSE Hampshire features luxurious Patek Philippe, Rolex and Omega buying areas, sitting comfortably beside our PARKHOUSE Diamonds and other top Swiss watch brands including Cartier, Tudor, Chopard, IWC, Longines, TAG Heuer and Breitling.
PARKHOUSE Cardiff moved to a city centre location in the grand St David's 2 in 2009, where it now sits in a prime position opening onto The Hayes. The luxury showroom is the only home in Wales to Cartier, IWC and Chopard, and is also proud stockist of Omega, Longines and TAG Heuer.
After two centuries PARKHOUSE continues to define the art of fine jewellery and watch-making, doing all we can to ensure every visit and purchase you make is a truly five star experience.
Please note that the prices indicated here are a guidance only. Each diamond is entirely unique and as such
pricing will vary depending on the stone. The price of a diamond is dependent on the clarity, colour and
carat weight and of course availability. We travel to Antwerp to
hand-select each and every diamond we sell, to ensure we are offering you the best possible diamond for
within your budget.
Over the last 200 years, the Parkhouse name has become synonymous with luxury and quality. Parkhouse is also part of the Laing family and we feel that the time is right to share the values and vision under one name.
As a result, Parkhouse will be changing it's name to Laing in the near future. Don't worry though, we will still be stocking the same sparkling jewellery and finest Swiss watches!
Our Southampton store is also on the move! We are re-locating to Westquay in September 2017
